Graduation is more about making your family and friends proud more than anything else. Congratulations Fidel and all of the Class of 2019!
Sometimes people need lots of coaching when getting their photo taken, and that’s ok. Not everyone is a model. But sometimes…….. you get somebody that’s just a natural and needs none of my help at alllllllll.
He’s a comedy writer. And eating breadcrumbs is funny. Get it?
This translates to "Chosen Lineage," based on this verse. This is a duo working on some music, due to release pretty soon. I also put their website together. Playing with subtle contrasts between red and blue in their album artwork, believe it or not, is my idea of fun.

In just a few weeks, we'll be expecting baby Adalynn to the world... Jessica & Jamal were so much fun to shoot. Jamal's dry sense of humor is a sign of readiness for dadhood. Jessica's tolerance is on mom-level-9000.

I've shot Darwin "An7orcha" Gonzalez before, but today was about his daughter Jeyda. This whole family is basically a collection of rockstars. Total pleasure photographing them.

The calendar availability, the weather, the cherry blossoms, it was like the stars were aligning.
The significance of the cherry blossom tree in Japanese culture goes back hundreds of years. In their country, the cherry blossom represents the fragility and the beauty of life. It's a reminder that life is almost overwhelmingly beautiful but that it is also tragically short.

Every year I shoot this graduation ceremony, and every year I feel a little bit dumber. These people are doctors. But then I remember what their handwriting probably looks like.
Before the ceremony, every student is given an opportunity to have a photo taken with a whitecoat. Their first photo as doctors! Click any image to enlarge
My favorite part of the day: the reception and that awesome finger food ;-)

This little chunk is the kind of baby that is obviously living a happy life; smiling and laughing with every given opportunity. She seemed skeptical of eating cupcakes though. That worried me.

He was sick of all the noise and pollution of the big city and decided to go on a hunt for peace and quiet. He pitched a tent, put down a blanket, and took it all in.
But forreal though, I had so much fun shooting these portraits. Babies are just my favorite creatures in the world, so this was a total blast for me. Believe it or not, this dense "forest" is right in New Jersey, Braddock Park in North Bergen.
Between watching little Lucas on the dancefloor and great food, this evening was just splendid.
Of course, there needed to be some legit portraits for the lady of the hour.
Had the honor of shooting a rockstar. I don't even know how I got past the paparazzi to get to this guy.
A MI QUE M'IMPOLTA.
